Why so few posts?

Are you aware that this is the same woman who turned to award winning actress and TV star, Gabourey Sidibe, at an entertainment industry function 4-5 years ago and in a patronizing and highly unpleasant manner suggested she quit the entertainment business.
The ironic thing is that up until that point, Joan Cusack had been Gabourey Sidibe's idol - someone she looked up to and admired.
As far as I am aware, Joan Cusack has never formally apologized for her disgraceful rudeness to Gabourey Sidibe and so the world has never forgiven her.
Joan Cusack may be a talented actress but seemingly not a very nice person - even to someone in her own line of work.

IMDB seems to be "cleaning house", sort of speak. Some popular actors have very few posts all of a sudden.

Yeah ignore the rambling post above, whatever comments she might or might not have made to some other actress has nothing to do with the lack of postings. As mentioned, IMDB has been cleaning house, and it seems their methods to do such, are as mystical as the "special sauce" used as part of the weighted average film ratings. Some boards with very little activity have postings going back to 2002-2003, whereas others such as this one, have been erased of pretty much all activity beyond the past couple of years.

Well, if Sidibe is such a terrible actress, how come she's still getting work? Have you even bothered to see anything else she's been in? Of course you haven't. Obviously there are some people in the bi besides Lee Daniels who think she has something to bring to the table actingwise. You also have to take into consideration that it's harder for black actresses to get any decent parts in Hollywood anyway, and that's a good part of the reason she hasn't gotten roles that could really give her another opportunity to show what she can do. That's being said, I like Joan Cusack as an actress with her offbeat self, and it sounds like she was just trying to let Sidibe know that it was going to be hard for her as a young black women of her size to try and make it in the business. She shouldn't have told her to quit,though, but I get why she told her that.
