shareI highly doubt they'd hire him again, especially due to his old age. He's not ancient, but he's a bit too old to be Pennywise. Pennywise, in a sense, is a middle-aged man late 30's-early 40's. Basically the age Tim was at the time the movie was made.

First of all, he would be under heavy makeup all the time and secondly he wouldn't be there a lot IF they keep it closer to the book this time. So it doesn't matter if he got old but he IS Pennywise
shareI would love to see Tim Curry as Pennywise again. He could do it because Pennywise wasn't an "actual" clown and even if he was, clowns can be any age.
But, if the production wants to be different from the classic version and more like the book, it wouldn't make sense to have the iconic star to b in the new project. Plus, Tim Curry is the type of actor that likes to do new things and might not want to re-do something he's done before.
I don't think Tim Curry would be interested in doing the role again.
Particularly if they go down the heavy make-up. He hated it and said after this and Legend, he didn't want to do make-up roles again.
Although I think they may go down a more CGI route for the clown anyway so IT can transform etc.
LOL. It'll be funny to see if when you get to be 38 you think that age is middle aged! :)
