The most typecast actor ever?

Don't get me wrong I love Tim Curry as much as the next person. But I can't help but feel that people don't take advantage of his versitality and instead just typecast him as villain after villain after villain after villain. I know that back in his early years like from Rocky Horror Picture to Clue he was able to show some acting range and play different character types. But it feels like ever since the 90's Curry's just been shoehorned into as many villain roles as possible.

He does have awesome talent & range. Last time I saw him wad in a guest appearance on PSYCH as a cranky talent show judge.

He's not always a villain.

He was in Muppet Treas... OH, I see what you're saying.

For me, I thought he didn't maximize his acting talent or versatility. I thought he should have found better films, instead of doing the somewhat same villain roles...

Ah, oh well. I guess he prefer acting on stage ?

A large number of British actors get typecast as the villain.
He has play a fair number of neutral roles and the odd good guy.
He's always had about the same mixture of roles pre and post 90s. He's always played more villains that anything else.

I think quite offend the villain role can be a lot more challenging and interesting anyway.
