I was looking forward to seeing Glenn Close in Sunset Boulevard but she pulled out of the performance. Many asked for refunds but they were refused. 😡

I feel you, Jolie64. I would probably ask for a refund since she is the reason I'll be watching the musical.

Yeah I got *beep* too. Flew all the way to London and found out she was "indisposed" when I got to the theatre. What a pity.

Not only was her replacement really bad, but that was probably the only chance I'd ever get to see that wonderful actress on stage.

Talk about bad luck.

It's the last time I ever buy tickets to an ENO show. They always do the same. Make you pay through the nose for big names and when something happens (it's a four week run, stuff happens), you're left with crappy substitutes who can't hold the part because they don't want to spend too much money in worthy replacements.

Not that anyone else could be Glenn Close but damn, Ria Jones *beep* sucked.

Rita Jones got a good response from everybody else in fairness. Close was hospitalised with a chest infection- it happens!
