Celebration of Life ASAP

Holy F, Michael is 87, he's going to check out very soon. Chuck Norris is up there too, he's 80. I wish a Celebration of Life would be arranged for Michael and soon. I'm sure he will greatly appreciate it.

I never heard of CoL. Is that a TV show somewhere?

A Celebration of Life is like a mock funeral / mock ceremony where you highlight somebody's accomplishments and show appreciation. Typically a CoL is while the person is still alive and in attendance. A CoL is similar to the ceremony where Dave Chappelle received the Mark Twain Award. Also, the Kobe Bryant CoL would have been held sometime in the future, reality is grim though.

So it's like those Kennedy Center honors show. I'm not sure about mock funeral though. Most of the celebration shows I see are in the form of Hall of Fame events for various mediums.

I'm going to say yes, it sounds about right. Marlon Wayans did a mock funeral on his show though, lol.

You don't know that he'll check out very soon, he could live 10 more years

The whole point is to do it while they're alive, in good health, and coherant. Most people are none of those at age 97.
