I'd add The Quiet American to the 'lead' list - I think it's possibly his greatest performance (followed very closely by The Man Who Would Be King, which is also easily my favourite Caine film). To the supporting list I'd add Sweet Liberty, although I admit it's something of a guilty pleasure.

Gambit and Too Late the Hero are less well known films than most on the list, but his work in both is absolutely top rate.
