I think it would be an awesome idea if Tim Burton made a movie about Edgar Allan Poe's life. Johnny Depp playing Edgar would be perfect

Johnny Depp as Edgar Allen Poe would be awesome. Heck, what if Burton directed a version of The Raven?

I always thought of Tim Burton as the modern Edgar but using visual media.

Coppola's Twixt always felt a little Burtonesque to me. Poe's in that (very well played by Ben Chaplin).

Almost made 'The Fall of the House of Usher' he paid Jonathan Gems to to write a scrip back in the 90s, (Gems also wrote Mars Attacks and a draft for a Beetlejuice sequel)
