Ever since he did Tron he's been doing big budget garbage; RIPD is a cheap rip off of Men in Black and Seventh Son looks absolutely atrocious, (and with a Jan. 17th release date, I'm betting its not going to make back its budget). Did he drink too much on the True Grit set? Get lost in that character? The man had a decent and impressive résumé up until a few years ago. What's with the change?

I'm a big fan and have all of his work. He has had a few bummers that I don't like, but then all actors pick bad uns now and then. He's not got anything to prove though. His career speaks for itself. Maybe he's just having fun without the pressure now. Before you know it, he'll be right back in your face with a wowzer.
I felt the same way after Starman.
