Michael Biehn criticized my choice of shopping at Walmart
One month ago I was out shopping in my local Walmart. I won't say where it is for fear of reprisals. I went there to pick out a gift for my sister's son's 11th birthday and something horrible happened.
I was walking up and down the toy aisles when I chanced upon a fetching Mega Bloks set that I thought would be perfect for him. I put the set into my cart and continued with my shopping. So far, so good.
About maybe 5 or 6 minutes later I felt a rough tap on my shoulder. I ignored it, but then the same hand grabbed me forcibly and spun me around. It was the actor, Michael Biehn, and he wasn't happy. In fact, he was furious.
"Mega Bloks? What the hell? You cheap bum!" Biehn fumed, and he snatched the box straight out of my cart. "Get over here!"
Biehn took ahold of my cart and stomped back over to the toy section with authority. I followed him agog.
"What the hell's the matter with you?" Biehn yelled, wildly, and I felt embarrassed as people had started to take notice of his rant. "Everybody knows Mega Bloks are a poor man's Lego!"
Biehn threw the offending toy back onto the shelf and then scanned the Lego section for something more appropriate, I guess.
Biehn picked up a Lego set and thrust it into my arms. "This is what you will buy now!" he said, then he marched me over to the counter and stood, arms crossed, as I paid for the set. The set he made me buy was more than three times as expensive as my original choice. I couldn't believe what was happening, but what could I do? This was the actor, Michael Biehn, him from terminator for God's sake!
Biehn followed me out to my car and made sure to watch as I put my shopping into the back of it. "Don't even think about coming back and exchanging!" He said, "I'll be waiting."
I got into my car and drove off. I couldn't bare to look back as I could feel Biehn's icy stare boring into the back of my head.
I waited a week, then decided to chance it. I went back to the store, Lego set in hand, ready to get my money back. As I drove in, the coast seemed to be clear. I got out of my car and walked slowly towards the entrance. Just as I was about to go inside, there he was, Biehn himself, stood in front of the doorway, arms crossed, just staring at me. I couldn't do it. I sloped away, defeated.
The worst part is that now I can't go to my local Walmart store. I have to drive an hour and a half each time, or use Super Target instead!
I'm really depressed about this.
