Message boards shutting down

What a shame!
I came to IMDb first when I was 19 (I'm 32 soon). I met great people here and loved to talk with them about my favorite actor. We had a lot of fun and interesting discussions about movies and actors. I wasn't very active the last years, but I often came here to see what was going on. It's such a shame that these boards will be gone soon.
Whenever I watched a movie I'd come to IMDb to read the discussions. Not the news or trivia, but the discussions. I loved to know what others thought, especially about some of the truly awful movies.
Guys, thank you for the great time we had here. I can't say that the boards had become a big part of my life, but still, I'm really saddened that they will be gone soon.
I've spent 13 years here. I will miss these boards.

Yeah, I suppose I will to, as I've been around since 1999 or so. But, holy Jeebus, this site got to be overrun with dolts and trolls. This board, for example, will shed no tears for never having to see that godforsaken name "Stynes" again.

No one's been giving a crap about that guy for a very long time. On the other hand, many people still posted here and discussed movies.

But seeing how many petitions have been started by IMDb users, maybe the bosses will reconsider their decision?

Its a shame its closing since this was a good place to talk about old movies and actors.
