I'm not sure if Kate had help starting her career by anyone so I don't see why Kate's sister can't start her career on her own too. Kate's sister might not want help, she might want to make it on her own and be a legit actor.

i left the "she" opened ended as I had no idea or concern who snubbed who...my point was that sometimes half siblings don't like each other. I can see where you would get the idea that I was referring to one or the other as dictated by the OPs statements,but my sentiments follow the narrative wherever it takes us. It actually makes more sense for the older,less attractive,less famous to shun the younger,more successful beauty so I feel the info you provided bolsters my original opinion...thanks!
