who's in your next bond top ten list.

reply

he's 8th or 9th pick I am tired of Daniel Craig's Bond

reply

Its possible as after the huge success they've had with Craig maybe Eon will want a more established name for Bond like Bale or Cavil for added appeal to help maintain the billion $ box office (as opposed to a relative unknown)

The movie landscape is different now to years before with A list actors becoming less important as the SF/Fantasy/Superhero genres reigns at the cinema (often A list film actors now appearing in TV/Netflix in the kind of stuff that would've once been in cinemas) - therefore they often be more open to appearing in stuff that gets them a big cinema gig every couple of years that they normally wouldn't have considered in the 90s/00s (MCU, DCU, SW, Bond etc) which could mean the next Bond could be more an established star like Bale.

Bale (and Cavil) have both said they want to be Bond as they obviously grew up with the Connery/Moore films and are fans/respect the franchise etc (as opposed to usually in the past established names no want to do it probably as 'spectre' of Connery & Moore too daunting..or they no want to be tied to the role for at least 3 pictures..or they no want to be typecast as Bond..or think Bond is silly etc etc - all issues that don't really exist now)

Bale did Terminator as he was a fan of the franchise despite being Batman and his 'people' telling him not to so he does what he wants and if they offered him Bond hed probably say yes

Even though Bale Cavil etc are already established as Batman /Superman etc movies have changed to the point where no actor is defined by the one overbearing iconic role any more ..so Batman could be Bond or Superman could be Bond and it wouldn't be that big a deal like it would years ago (especially now superheroes are often recast like Bond). And Bale was Batman is no longer/replaced (and looks to be same for Cavil - his superman no really connect with audiences much either)

No sorry

reply

Ok

reply

I understand why you think so I don’t think it will ever happen

reply

I disagree bozo,

Bond is a role an actor grows into. They don't want an A lister coming in with his well established reputation and other baggage.

reply

what if he were to get on his knees and beg?

reply

Bond doesn't beg. Or have you not seen Goldfinger?

reply

But when asked if he would take the James Bond role, Bale said that his days of wearing a cape were over. So I don't think he is interested in that.

reply

the interview I read maybe 10years ago said hed do Bond for sure even tho hes batman.

reply

I think this interview I read was shortly after he was done with Batman. I think he changed his mind then. But then again, he could change it again.

reply

Bale won't play Bond. Even if they offered it to him he wouldn't take the role.

reply

I think he'd be at least a One Movie Bond

reply

One movie Bonds are the exception not the rule. They didn't want Lazenby to be a one movie Bond. The next person they pick will do at least 3-4 films.

reply

He’d be awful at it

reply

Bale needs to do a franchise or TV show, I find he's very good at playing characters like Bruce Wayne and Patrick Bateman. I'd actually give a Bond movie starring Bale a chance, if they're going the Idris Elba/Jane Bond route then forget it.

reply

they don't need to make jane bond just make a new female character.

reply

It's going to be Idris Elbow and everyone knows it. Nothing against Idris, but pissing off the far-right is Hollywood's favorite activity and they know this move will send a hundred klansmen (are there even that many left???) into ERs across the country with various problems related to their poor diets bursting to the surface on waves of moronic rage.

reply

It will also destroy the Bond franchise. I don’t believe they’re willing to commit financial suicide.

reply

If that happened, they'd just say "racists" killed it and then "reboot" it with a vertically-challenged transobjective robot or something equally "progressive"...
