why wasn't bale in batman vs. superman? he was batman in the latest batman movies so why not? i didn't care for ben affleck as batman. i wanted to see bale and michael caine as alfred in it.

There's more to it than that, so it's not entirely comparable to those type of cases (no character arc and closure in them the way there was in TDK trilogy), but still, you're making a valid point as well.
