Wasn't a very good Batman

The way they initially sold this was that Affleck would play an old and broken Batman based on the comic Dark Knight Returns. Affleck was nothing like that.

The whole thing between the Snyder/ Afleck partnership was a mess, they looked clueless about what to do with the character. I keep hearing how good of a Batman Affleck was but cannot understand what people see in him even as Bruce Wayne.

Ben Afleck is a great actor, just think he should quit playing comic book characters.

I liked his Bruce Wayne in "BvsS", if Christian Bale played Wayne the (fake) playboy, then Affleck played Wayne the tycoon. And I didn't blame Affleck for the ridiculous suit which ruined his Batman scene.

And yeah, it sounds like Affleck is through with the role, and comic book movies. And I can see how making "BvsS" would sour anyone on the genre.

In my head, Ben Affleck looks closer to Bruce Wayne than any other actor that has played him.

Granted, that doesn't mean anything much.

I'm with you on that.

"Christian Bale played Wayne the (fake) playboy, then Affleck played Wayne the tycoon" Nice observation

Well, they had to change the characterization of Wayne a bit for the new series of films. I suppose making him a responsible businessman who cared about his employees was a reasonable way to portray the man who became Batman.

There weren't many good ideas in "BvS", but I suppose that might be one.

If there's a big payday involved, you know he'll play another comic book character. Nearly every actor in Hollywood has their agent looking for comic book parts for them.

JL Killed his Batman for me

DC fans seem to be dangerously obsessed with him as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Sadly he's never gonna come back as Batman when we have a new film that negates his version.
