Making sense of the 2 UK interviews in 2013

I've just seen the 2 rather bizarre interviews in the UK, The One Show and Red 2 promotion, and I'm trying to make sense of it.
I don't really care for what actors are like in their personal lives, but their approach to human interaction does weigh on my desire to watch their work (after all, it is THEM that people go to watch).

The Red 2 interview I couldn't make heads or tails of, & I suspect elements were edited out from what we saw, because his answers were too nonsensical.
The One Show interview made it a little clearer though. It seems Willis has a natural aversion to conversation, and seems to prefer receiving rather than delivering.
One example: I could see him desperately trying hard to make a witty comeback to the whole 'asteroid' thing, but couldn't.
I think it's surprising to people & fans because the Bruce Willis we see on film always has a witty comeback, and always has words to say.

I suppose also there's not a lot of imagination there; the guy is very down to earth and in the real world, and I think this is one attribute that he retains in the characters he plays.

My last observation is more general, and it may be completely off course, but I do suspect that his tough-guy gestures are his greatest act ever. I think when you look closely, there's actually a big softness there, but he hides it very well.

You will probably disagree. That's the nature of discussions -- they have two sides.
