When i was a kid ,I just loved this guy and his movies,but in the last couple of years his career went from great to making 3rd rate movies,I just don't get it...Maybe somebody's gotta call his agent and say something about it,because his movies are getting worse and worse...Come on Bruce make some great movies again...we're counting on you...

shareI've been a fan since I was a kid in the 1980's. And over the years, I've noticed some things as well. Especially more recently. On bigger films, he seems to be more interested. If he has a good role and the script is decent, he still seems to do fine work generally. But on films that are not so good, or when his role is kinda the typical tough guy thing, he seems less interested. Maybe sort of bored or something. Maybe it comes from years of people wanting him to play the same thing over and over again? Maybe they are not giving him good character info to work with. I'm uncertain why he bothers to appear in some of the more B-ish pictures. Maybe people are promising things to him they cannot deliver? Maybe personal issues? Who knows when it comes to Hollywood. Like anything else, I try to just enjoy the films that are decent and ignore the rest.
And plenty of actors who have been around as long as he and have a large body of work to compare back and forth and you may notice things here and there. I have never met him and don't know him so I certainly cant say what the deal is. My first inclination would be to suggest maybe he should just do less films. Try to just do the decent ones. But in Hollywood, perception is a big deal, so being less active probably has certain issues that come along. My guesstimation is it is just a balancing game. Sometimes an actor wins, sometimes an actor doesn't win, and both wins and losses are recorded for everyone to see.
It also has a lot to do with the fact that his reputation is catching up with him. He's burning bridges left and right due to him demanding ridiculous amounts of money and being a prick on set and off.
@info-136-417429 Just a theory: maybe his infamous crankiness makes great directors reluctant to work with him, so he has to make do with the Kevin Smiths of this world. I mean, Christ, he's even cranky with interviewers who are kissing his ass.

Maybe he's doing these crappy straight to DVD films so he can spend more time with his baby daughter, and make a quick few million by spending a few days on set of each film.

Come on Bruce Willis, you were an awesome actor. Start making some right choices with your movies and stop appearing in mediocre rubbish.
