The Best Comedian Of All-Time

I think so. Yea there are others that might be considered better thats a matter of opinion but many of his films are so innovative and futuristic falling away from his real person a master comedian which isn't easy next to impossible all the while being a Genius Comedian.

You have no idea how long a period “of all time” encompasses. You have no idea who Groucho Marx, W.C. Fields, Mae West, Joe E. Brown, Jackie Gleason, Gracie Allen, S.J. Perleman, Mark Twain, Jonathon Winters, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin or Dennis Miller were. Williams is not even close to being The One.

I know the work of all those people, and when Robin was on top of his game, he beat them all. Groucho was a close second. I saw this for the first time in a long time today. Top this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFNrLmxvq50

Definitely not. Not even top thousand. Manically stalking back and forth on stage, babbling, throwing in a bad John Wayne impression, and grabbing his crotch was never funny. I always wanted one of those vaudeville hooks to reach out of the wings and pull him off. Seeing his name in the lineup of a talk show was always a disappointment.

Top five though in fifth

Well humors subjective so there's no factual answer anyway. If someone has Robin Williams as their number 1 then let them.

For me, he's top 10 for sure.

reply

Not even in the top 100. Just annoying as hell.

COMEDIAN OR COMEDIC ACTOR?...MY CHOICE FOR BEST COMEDIAN WOULD BE GEORGE CARLIN,BUT DIDNT HAVE A VERY PROLIFIC FILM CAREER.

reply

Yeah he’s definitely too 5 for sure.

reply

I am a big fan of Robin Williams, mainly as an actor rather than a comedian, but in a world where Richard Pryor and George Carlin existed I can’t say he’s the best comedian of all time.
