Seagal ran away from Van Damme

After a party when Seagal , as usual, had dissed him, Van Damme challenged him to a fight outside, but Seagal managed to sidestep the issue and escape to a nightclub.

But a furious Van Damme followed him and repeated the challenge. Seagal didn't fight.

Seagal has always been a trash actor and one of the laziest "martial artist" to ever get on screen.

reply

This. These days he's all body-doubles, and the guy hardly even does his own ADR. We get some random bloke who sounds nothing like him. The very definition of lazy, and a real slap in the face (just about the only slap he can manage, these days) to his fans. He clearly doesn't give a crap anymore.

reply

sounds like urban myth / bullshit to me .

Our action heroes dont go around fighting each other in real life like some sort of expendables kumitae
or playground bullies.
They're just actors

reply

That's what I was thinking as well.

reply

Nope. It’s true. Stallone backs up the story since it started in his house when Van Damme challenged Seagal since that latter was trashing him in the press. However at the time Van Damme was addicted to coke spending up to 10,000 a week on it according to him.

reply

Thats a lotta coke!

reply

That is sad.

reply

I believe it. Sad how Van Damme messed himself up on drugs. His movies got me through the 90s when I was a kid.

Seagal did the right thing. It saved JCVD's life.

Aikido is the most deadliest martial art in the world and Seagal has the blackest belt in Aikido. If JCVD would have angered Seagal his mind would have transformed into the Dragon Spirit and would have instinctively snapped JCVD's neck just with one touch.

Seagal is a man of peace. He obviously wouldnt want to hurt JCVD no matter how rude he was.
