I know he only wants to make ten movies but..
I think he needs to make a horror movie. Since he likes to pay homage I wonder what kind of horror movie he could make.

shareHe needs to throw out that "only ten movies" idea altogether. Plans should be regularly reevaluated and changed accordingly. Not every idea that comes to you -- especially in your youth -- is necessarily good and eternally binding. If you're good at something -- in this case making movies -- do it till you die. Judas Priest is a good example.
shareI suspect his final film will be something grander than a horror movie.
On that subject, it fuckin sucks that he’s only making 1 more movie. Hollywood is a total dumpster fire of blandness and woke, Tarantino is that rare unicorn that makes interesting, challenging, politically incorrect films… and they actually let him do it.
He’s going to abandon us now?
Dick move.
I’ve always considered Death Proof (2007) his horror film. It’s basically a slasher / car film with a car used as the weapon.
shareI would love to see a Tarantino horror film. He said he had an idea for a sci-fi / horror film after watching It Follows but canned it because it was "too wordy". But aren't most great horror films very dialog-driven? The Shining, The Thing, Alien, and even recent films like Midsommar and The Lighthouse are almost entirely dialog-driven with some minor action in between. QT is also brilliant at delivering tension, such as the skull-hammer scene in Django, Kurt Russell's pre-murder build-up speech in Death Proof, and the entire opening to Basterds. Imagine a whole movie like that! QT has also listed multiple horror films in his all-time favorites / top 25 lists, such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Thing, Jaws, Halloween 78, etc. He knows exactly what he has to do.
shareTrue
He could make a terrifying horror movie.
The spawn ranch scene in OUATIH is a great example of that
