Robert Rodriguez is probably his favorite since he's one of his best friends. Next would probably be Sergio Leone. The rest I can't speak about since they seem nothing like QT to me.

Paul Thomas Anderson, and seeing as how he loves his crime thrillers I'd say Fincher and Mann are right up his alley.

Tony Scott’s True Romance is basically a Tarantino movie and Tarantino contributed some dialogue to Crimson Tide.

I could be a smart ass and say that almost any director is similar to tarintino since he’s either directed or been involved in every type of movie. If your someone like me “a popcorn movie guy looking for instant gratification” then you can’t go wrong with any of those directors 😀

It was OK, although I think "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" is a far better movie.

Like your list, except for Guy Ritchie. Snatch alone move him near the top of the second group.
