FACT: Tarantino is NOT a great director.

He is adequate at taking ideas from other movies and using them to construct his own versions, but as far as originality or groundbreaking talent, he has none. Anything original he does inject is cringe-worthy, from his insistence to always have his own Cro-Magnon face on screen and trying to act at some point, to the dialogue he considers 'hip' or 'cool', all this is just pathetic attempts to feed his needy ego.

He certainly has a very high opinion of himself, and has no problem coming across as a major douchebag in the process, as evidenced by most any interview he's ever had.

RD was pretty good, I'll give him that but again, it's just thinly-veiled plagiarism whose style went against the common Hollywood fare at the time, thus making it seem 'original' and 'fresh'. He peaked in PF, and it's been downhill ever since.

Ever notice that at some points in any of his movies, any one of the characters will start talking like The Great Quentin Tarantino himself? That's because either he can't write dialogue that actually suits the character in question, or he cannot resist the desperate need he feels to constantly be stroking his own ego.

Troll much? Everyone is entitled to they're opinion. But you just don't like him. Nothing you said is even close to being true! Meanwhile all his films are critically acclaimed! And he's got plenty of awards to polish, that makes your statement and even bigger pile of BS! All I can say is thank you god and thank you imdb for getting rid of the message boards so we don't have to read trolling, garbage like this. Good bye! Lmao!

FACT: he does take ideas from other movies and uses them to construct his own versions. If you don't know/accept this, then I feel sorry for you.

FACT: he does insert himself into his own movies, not in a mere cameo, no, a full-on acting role. And he's not an actor. I'll give him a pass for RD, because of budget restraints, but subsequent appearances are obvious ego-stroking.

FACT: there are many examples where characters in his movies begin jabbering on all nerd-like like Tarantino himself, many times where it is totally against the character's type in question.

I'll accept your assessment of me as a 'troll' as I was indeed trying to illicit a response, but I was serious in my OP, and I stand by my statement, while it is you who is the one making baseless and obviously false claims, as exemplified in your quote above.

Meanwhile all his films are critically acclaimed!

ARE you then suggesting that none of his films received any criticism??

And he's got plenty of awards to polish, that makes your statement and even bigger pile of BS!

So, let's get this little nugget of logical gold of yours straight here shall we? Because Tarantino has won awards, that somehow makes my FACTUAL statements "BS"? Do you even realize how stupid this is? Amazing...

All I can say is thank you god and thank you imdb for getting rid of the message boards so we don't have to read trolling, garbage like this.

Pssst! Einstein! Nobody NEEDS imdb to avoid reading anything; as nobody is forcing you to read anything in the first place. All you need is common sense, half a brain and.... oooops, never mind, looks like you DO need imdb after all... my mistake... heh

Yep.

FACT: You have NO idea about what you're talking about

reply

Really? Then surely you can easily refute all the points I've presented which actually back up my original statement?

What's that?

It's time for you to shut the *beep* up?

OK!

reply

Cody, is that you?

reply

Still can't actually address the points here?

Then you are still a loser, and it is still time for you to shut the *beep* up.

"not in a mere cameo, no, a full-on acting role."

You are kidding right?
