My wife and I wear the masks as directed. It's not a big deal and when it comes to civil disobedience, I'll pick my battles. Like many, I did some quick research when covid first hit our shores and found the virus is very small compared to the openings in even the best widely available masks we are asked to wear. Further, even when carefully fitted, I get breath vapor on my glasses. I won't even mention those who wear them below their noses or just wear in a way that only keeps their chins warm..

But that doesn't mean masks are totally ineffective. Despite the virus being smaller than the masks can filter, the virus also is carried by moisture and moisture droplets, something the masks can grab onto.

If the masks reduce the incidence of possible transmission by trapping water and vapor by only a small percentage, it's still better than nothing.

Wear the masks, wash your hands, and take the vaccine when it's available.

Well, the virus doesn't like the great outdoors, but masks don't do anything but make insecure people feel better. I live in Oregon, so it's kind of funny. My doctor knows they're peddling nonsense, but Oregon is where he works, so he has to go around wearing a mask all day in his office, even though he knows better.

Last time I was in there, I offered to bump elbows like a good little Oregonian, and he laughed, put out his hand -- which I shook -- and he said, "That's what this is there for!" pointing to the hand sanitizer.

It really does get to be a little much.

The good news is QAnon Covidiots are going to get Covid. The bad news is you're going to spread it to innocent people.
