Movieline had several “go to” actresses and Sharon Stone was one of them. She could always be counted on for a glamorous cover and some raunchy one-liners both of which fit with the magazine’s aesthetic. This was Stone’s second cover story for Movieline. Previously, she graced the cover just before breaking out as a major movie star in Basic Instinct. A little over a year later, Stone was back on the cover wearing nothing but a bathrobe only this time, she was full-on famous and loving it.
