He's always been a good actor.

I believe anyone who can watch the original Rocky, First Blood, Copland, Rocky Balboa or Creed and say Stallone is a terrible actor is just being an *beep* He's done a lot of action movies where he obviously was not too concerned with turning in great performances. That can't be argued. But the fact remains, when he puts his heart into it, he's a good actor. And miles ahead of most other "action stars".

I know u hate Stallone so please stay away if u dont like him....yes everybodys entitled to their own opinion i repect that but ur posts in Stallone threads are demeaning him once ok but not twice!

I totally agree. I think the problem is he did too many action films where there was more emphasis on physicality than turning in a strong dramatic performance. That's what got a lot of people considering him to be a bad actor.

I do hope he gets a shot at doing some more character driven films especially since he's now 70.

He is by far the best actor among the action stars and yes he can act. We can't say that about a lot of these actors.

By far better than Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Kurt Russell? I realize those three haven't been restricted to just action movies and have branched out to many genres, but they are highly thought of as action stars (I mean, come on, we're talking Mad Max/Martin Riggs, Indiana Jones/Han Solo, and Jack Burton/Snake Plissken here). No way in hell is Stallone anywhere near as good an actor as any of these three. Gibson is almost easily the most versatile actor of his generation.
