I wouldn't have.
Sadly he probably could have gotten lots of votes, because we don't live in a world where the best people for the job ever get elected instead we get the ones that are best at pretending and scamming the voters into believing whatever load of shit they are shoveling. Look at the options we had this year, Trump or Bidden neither one was the best that either part could have come up with, probably the worst that both parties could put out there and so once again you are left voting for the least vile. In the democrats early primaries they had some decent options... but they didn't know how to play the game or have the charisma to get any traction so they ended up giving us the worst of the lot.
