I don't think it's a popular choice, but I really liked ALI when I first saw it.
I also like Legend, although it was an action thriller movie that probably didn't take a lot of nuance to pull off.
He's a solid actor who got a lot good parts, but I'm not putting him into my personal HOF.

Kinda fun seeing him from the big screen to the small when The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990 - 1996) aired at the time. Nowadays, the guy is everywhere.
Not a major role but Where the Day Takes You (1992). It's not my favourite movie, but I don't find him overbearing. I don't dislike Will Smith, but sometimes I find him too much to take in a lead role.
