Brooke suffered a major onset of postpartum depression. She got help for it. Cruise being a good little Scientologist drone had to open his trap. It set women’s rights groups against him. He later publicly apologized as damage control for his career
shareTom Cruise condemned psychotherapy and criticised people who experience depression (apparently, Scientologists don't get depressed... 🙄), so, although he wasn't personally attacking Brooke, she, quite reasonably, took offence as someone who'd experience post-partum depression, and has taken medication/had therapy.
On *this* occasion, I am staunchly on Brooke's side.
It's just a shame that going by some of the other threads on this board, she apparently has a tendency to play the victim, which, sadly undermines all the good and sensible things she had to say about her experiences on *this* occasion.
Remember, folks, DON'T over-egg the pudding. Focus on specific negative experiences, in this case, *depression*. But if *everything* is bad, it's hard to treat an individual credibly any more, and it just comes across as scattershot sympathy seeking.
