How come I didn't believe a word of that?

I'm talking about her tribute to Michael Jackson on MTV. I know that they were kind of close, but it seemed like such forced sentimentality. You could tell she was trying to cry.

reply

OMG! I was cringing the whole time seriously that looked so forced it's not even funny

reply

whatever.

For heaven's sake....give the women a break

reply

Oh no, youre right, I'm sorry. She must have been so distraught after losing someone she kind of dated about 20 years ago and hasn't talked to since.

Also, it's "woman", not "women".

Also, I'll say whatever I goddamn wanna say, this isn't a fan board for pete's sake.

reply

Why are you such a nasty bitch???/

Go suck on a frozen pineapple....

reply

Well, you got me there. I don't think I'm ever going to recover from that insult. Years of therapy, I'm gonna need.

Hah. I love it when people make personal attacks instead of addressing the issue at hand. Just shows their lack of credibility. Sorry, but I find it insulting and downright disrespectful that someone would give such an obviously phony speech at someone's freakin MEMORIAL SERVICE all for publicity purposes.

"... that someone would give such an obviously phony speech at someone's freakin MEMORIAL SERVICE all for publicity purposes."

And you know this HOW TheySpeakEnglishInWhat? I suppose she personally told you this or you happened to speak to her publicity agent? Or let me guess: your mind reading powers now work over cable and the Internet and you could see what she was thinking. And of course you've been checking Michael Jackson's email and tapping his phone calls and so you have proof that they haven't spoken since right?

What's disrespectful is YOUR insulting comment with no proof whatsoever that a woman's grief is a (publicity) gold-digging stunt. Like my momma used to say, if you've got nothing good to say about someone, then shut the F up until you have proof.

RIP MJ

You're right, I don't know for sure what her intentions were or what she was thinking at the time. Its not exactly rocket science, though. Just watch her speech again. Especially when she talked about his favorite song being "smile". It seemed over the top and like a performance. Rather than look down or hold back tears, it looked like she was trying to cry, which made it look incredibly fake.
