I think that would be protected thought/speech. Now, saying "someone should kill the prez". I believe that is actionable, but would probably be ignored. Unless you are a pubic official, law enforcement or someone of influence.

He has no control over it actually happening. He didn't threaten the President elect. It wasn't nice but Trump tweets are pretty bad too and many don't seem to mind.
