I agree in that it's a free country and people can do whatever they want with their money. I had a debate about whether Dawn Wells deserved to get $$ to move to a better retirement home. Hey, she was popular, and if people sympathize with her, regardless of the circumstances, why not kick down some change? She was adorable on the island.
This sounds like a different situation. I don't know why Marty wouldn't step up here, but who knows about family politics. I think Warren Buffet said he wasn't going to leave his kids much of anything, but I'd have to look into it more closely.
