Quite possible. He needs 2 more, will get one this year for Silence , that will be 8.

Wyler has 12. Marty will retire at about 10 and another directing Oscar.

probably not... he deserved nominations (not necessarily wins) for more of his films... but the Academy Awards are run by corruption (like everything else)
