I don't want to simply put him down as I think he has a place in films, as the Terminator series showed. He has some charisma, an unmistakable accent and bodybuilder's physique that will mean he goes down in film history. However, in terms of acting ability, can you think of anyone less capable?

I'll give Schwarzenegger a bit of credit for understanding his limitations, and working hard to become... competent in a role that suited his extremely limited talents. Which sounds like faint praise, but since most really horrific performances are given by actors who fail to understand their limitations, that's something that actually matters a lot.
Vin Diesel sucks dick. Arnold is a million times more watchable than that ugly jew vin diesel...

It's true that his acting skills were pretty bad in his first couple of movies (Hercules and Raw Deal come to mind), but he has definitely improved over the years to the point where in my opinion, by the 90s he could have been considered a competent actor on the par with other popular action stars like Stallone or Willis. But as I said, his accent just makes it very hard to take him seriously, especially when it comes to emotional scenes.

Schwarzenegger CANNOT act. He is totally awful. Terminator's role suited him perfectly because we needed an emotionless actor playing an emotionless robot. The only thing he has for him: he had made some awesome movies. So, that only means he managed to pick his roles effectively. Still, he is NOWHERE near from being a good actor.
Even though I don't consider Bruce Willis as a "good" actor, he certainly delivers more than Arnold.
Sylvester Stallone is the only one among those three who I can call somehow of a decent actor. He has done a lot of shitty movies with shitty performances... but he has done some drama and even managed to give some decent acting.

I appreciate that Arnold always knew his limits and only took roles that he could handle even though they were stereotypical. His early acting is very poor, but his mid range and late stuff isn't bad at all. I would put it at standard or mediocre for the roles that he chooses which works great for him and the film. There are lots of actors that come to mind that are worse than him such as: Steven Seagal, Jean Claude, the twilight people, Pauly Shore, Channing Tatum, Yes Vin Diesel!
He is just as awful as Twilight actors and Steven Seagal.

shareI agree maybe he isn't a great but he still is enjoyable to watch even in his worst movies. Frankly though my least favorite actress is Zendeya. I really can't stand her character in the new Spider-Man movies.
shareThere was a time when I would watch anything Arnold was in. Not because of his acting (or lack thereof), but because, for the most part, they were great action films. Now, considering his stupidity regarding women, not at all. I lost all respect for him when he get the maid in his employ pregnant. Sad, sad, sad.
