What happened
She is a beautiful and talented actress. Why was she in so many garbage and mediocre movies for the last 20 years? Surely she must've been offered better parts after Ferris Beuller. Maybe she had poor management or some crap.
shareIt’s astonishing how effortlessly charming and gorgeous she is, radiating a beauty but also kindness and intelligence. She’s as charming as Bueller but in a completely different way. Genius casting and direction from John Hughes, and sadly no other director was able to bring out the talents of these actors later in their careers.

In the November 1988 issue of Orange Coast Magazine, it was made clear that the original version of the film showed what he was really like before a test screening: "A small but crucial change occurred when two sexist remarks were cut from the film. The first finds Matthew Broderick's girlfriend, Mia Sara, commenting on how difficult it is to be male. "We women have it so easy - all we have to do is tend and take care of our husbands, but men..." The scene was booed by audiences that demanded and got cuts. Also changed was a later scene in which Sara tells Broderick that she loves him - and he says nothing. The final print has Broderick returning the vow of love."

Ferris Bueller is classic Borderline Personality Disorder: Narcissistic, controlling, manipulative, Sadistic, compulsive liar, must ALWAYS be right, anyone else MUST be wrong, and solipsistic. Borderlines THINK they are charming. They are among the most pathetic and dangerous people on earth. If you are simple, they can beguile you.
Oh, and the condition is incurable. It can be managed by using certain strategies, but the victim can never be free from it. Most Borderlines are much too Narcissistic and arrogant to see that they need help.
