Her looking "plain" tactic.

It's more than obvious she does this to display her "amazing" acting. Rather than be known for being beautiful. But honestly she makes herself look so horrid I can't even watch her movies.

I sound so vain and it's usually not like me but it's way too over the top. They did it with Olivia deHavilland in the Heiress but that was different. Her character was supposed to be homely. And she still looked elegant.
