THE REAL REASON WHY HER CAREER IS OVER!!!!

She was doing mainstream movies throughout the 80s, she met a guy named Panio in 87 and moved in with him in France in 89. She mostly stuck to straight to video films as well as made for TV films that were set in France,

she was offered pretty woman, but she turned it down bc she had planned to do Ghost instead. But she ended up turning down the part bc she moved to France with her boyfriend. Then she stayed with him and she only took the small movies, she broke up with him but she had lost most of her image and she stuck to tv films and stage productions. Sad isnt it? None of the brat pack survived.
Rob Lowe's career was destroyed after the sex tape, Demi Moore has retired and Molly is a HASBEEN!

Hate Club 4 Hannah Montana.

She doesn't like America?

Though it is true she was offered "Ghost" and passed on it. Could've totally changed her career path, although I think Demi was the better choice.

These "brat-packers"....

1 - Molly Ringwald - "Sweet Charity" aside, her career evaporated in the late 80s.
2 - Jon Cryer - Never part of the BP. From "Pretty in Pink" to "2AHM" was about 17 years of mediocrity.
3 - Charlie Sheen - Not part of the BP either, mostly battling coke and hookers for years.
4 - Rob Lowe - Again, scandal ruined his career for about 15 years before West Wing.
5 - Keifer Sutherland - Never part of the BP. Another long string of box-office disasters before 24.
6 - Matthew Broderick - Nope. Ferris was his lone hit, since has appeared in forgettable garbage.
7 - James Spader - A handful of decent films.

At the most you can say they've all been "working actors", but far from creatively successful.

Aside from Cruise and Demi (and maaaybe Matt Dillon), none of these teen people of the 80s amounted to much.

she passed on playing Ghost, because she wanted to go to France adn focus on movies there.
