So that posts like these can continue? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000206/board/thread/265345505
I've been an IMDb member for 12 years. I made many good friends and amazing memories on these boards, for which I'll always be grateful. But the place has since gone sharply downhill, and the boards that used to bring me lots of geeky joy now just make me angry and hating the world. Right now, they're doing far more bad than good, and I think that losing the boards will have a sorely-needed net positive effect on the internet's mental health.
