What is his best performance?

ROMEO IS BLEEDING....

The look he gives at the end when the bell rings : (

I´d say my "favorite" is Norman Stansfield.
Then Drexl Spivey and Jackie Flannery.

He was great in every single performance, Dracula, Smiley, Sirius, Beethoven, Oswald, Zorg, Jack Grimaldi, Gordon, Rosencrantz, Shelly Runyon, Ivan and the list goes on...

Count Dracula

I unequivocally proclaim Gary Oldman as the greatest actor of all time, so I hope he gets the gong come this Oscar ceremony. Even if Lesley Manville is rumoured to be dishing the dirt on him and their failed marriage. But acting wise, I believe he is way better than De Niro and Pacino in that he can disappear into a role without you recognising him. With De Niro and Pacino, while still fine actors you can point to the screen and say that's obviously Pacino/De Niro.

To answer your question I think True Romance shows his best performance as Drexl Spivey.

I'm a Drexl man

Ditto Sid and Nancy. As fine an accomplishment as his Churchill. Also quite good as Beethoven even though the movie was problematic.

I'd have to go with Air Force One. Considering he is known for being very friendly, he scared the s@% out me with the villainy.
