The Space Between Us one of his finer later performances

He really throws himself into the role of a scientist who wants to start a colony on Mars, then faces the repercussions when a boy born there journeys to Earth and refuses to leave, despite his body's inability to handle the environment. Gary is passionate and committed in the role, and far more interesting than in recent projects like Criminal with Kevin Costner and the snoozefest Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't doubt Oldman is good, but the film has been massacred by critics. I read a few reviews at Rotten Tomatoes and it looks like the worst thing ever made.

Not true. NY Times said it was enjoyable. Don't believe the hype.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is one of his best performances. A masterstroke of subtlety.

Watching paint dry was more exciting.

Binkconn: Thanks for the heads up on this. One of the only Oldman movies I have never seen, now I will.
