How else do you explain her teeny-bopper hair and clothes? And starving herself to be stick think like a youngster? Then the embarrassing antics which are similar to junior high school girls? She had embarrassed Ashton and her girls many times. Please.... she is way over the top in denial that she is 50.

And yes, most people DO smirk at older men who only date girls their daughter's or granddaughter's age. Totally agree with you. The double standard is ridiculous. You can see it in full force on the Sex and the City boards, and the Magic Mike boards, too. For some reason, people are threatened by sexually empowered women. I don't understand it either.....

Hugh Hefner is a different story, as part of having all of those younger women around was to help sell his image and the magazine. Even though it is gross, I hear tons of men talk about how he is their idol, living some sort unattainable fantasy.

The difference here is that Demi was 15 years older than Ashton, which was heavily frowned upon. Granted, I don't think that type of age gap works at all, but compare Demi dating someone 15 years younger to men having mates 15 years younger--the same level of ridicule is not there.
