To me, he'll always be the "lame Rom-Com guy"

I don't get the "McRenaissance" at all. Was it because people liked him in "True Detective"? Or "Wolf of Wall Street"?
While I enjoyed him in "WoWS" his part was extremely small.

He's got a to win a lot of Oscars and star in great movies (not drivel like Interstellar) like WoWS in order to get the *beep* Rom-Com guy" stank off him.
