Anything else notice he's having a minor career resurgence?

After toiling away in the direct-to-video market for several years throughout the 90s and 00s, I noticed that he's had an uptick in his career over the last decade or so.

First, he appeared in the Expendables movies. Then he showed up in six episodes as a villain on Arrow. Most recently he reprised his role as Ivan Drago in Creed II. And next he'll be appearing as King Nereus in Aquaman.

Good for Dolph! I'm happy to see him having success at this late stage in his career! He deserves it!

He's in Aquaman!? I was kind of indifferent to that movie but knowing he's in it I really hope it succeeds! Agree with you and am also happy to see him appearing in more things now.

Indeed he is!

Here's a short article about his Aquaman role if you're interested.

Haha it was a short read but still good, thanks for sharing!

yes, just like Chinatown said: every whore and old building becomes respectable if they last long enough. The media and the general public used to be smarter than this, he would never have stood a chance before the 80's. I don't mind Dolph I like him but I most certainly do not like this trend of glorifying anyone by the fake news media after a certain time, the way they did with Tab Hunter, it's beyond pathetic and shows the depths everything has fallen into.

next they'll probably change the reboot of HeMan into a long belated sequel so Dolph can return to that as well (or if not they'll prob cast him in the remake as HeMans dad or something)

I'm still waiting for that movie Mac and Charlie wrote for him!!

The fact that he's "back" is a sad indicator of the current state of cinema.

We don't have any action movie actors anymore, so they have to bring back Ivan Drago, who never had much of a draw to begin with.

I'll agree that we today's action movie landscape is a sad state of affairs. Every action star I can think of is over 40. Guys like The Rock and Jason Statham came along 20 years ago to take the torch from guys like Sly and Arnold and Van Damme but no one has come along to take the torch from them.

With all that said, Dolph getting his due respect is not a sad state of anything. It's what should've happened long ago.
