I had to look up some pictures of her (purely for research purposes, of course) and the resemblance is definitely noticeable. And I think it's close to a tie on their measurements, her mom maybe a wee bit more voluptuous than Diane...but those photos were from the '50s and women didn't strive to be as thin back then, either.

Her mother is also taller, about 5'8. And as stated, the 1950s was much more about having curves than today (lovely gamine types like Audrey Hepburn not withstanding).
