Favorite Book? (Outside of The Dark Tower)

For me it's Misery, followed closely by The Stand.

The Stand. I've read it about three times (despite its length!). I'd follow it with Misery, Pet Sematary and 11/22/63.

_The Stand_ is my favorite Stephen King book and story by far. I have the 1978, 1985, and the 1988 C&U editions of the book, the DVD and the blu-ray of the 1994 ABC miniseries, and I intend to get the DVD or the blu-ray of the remake as well.

Of those I've read, I suppose my favorites are Christine and It.

The Long Walk (written as Richard Bachman)

Also love Dolores Claiborne, Carrie, The Dead Zone and Firestarter

The Long Walk! Yes awesome tale.

The Stand, Hearts in Atlantis, Pet Semetary. and the four novellas in Different Seasons

I should have added Different seasons too! Four great stories. I knew Stand By Me was based on a story and I always wanted to read it. I finally did. "The Body", great story. The Shawshank Redemption is great. I saw that film and wanted to read the story. "Apt Pupil" is extremely creepy, but a good story.
