Marlon Brando should have played him! I would have loved to see that. It's hard to imagine anyone else who could even play the character in a similar way to Hopkins. I bet if Heath Ledger never took the Joker role, hardly anyone would recommend him for the role. Great actors read a part and then make it totally their own
