Should have had an Oscar for T2

I just watched T2 again for the first time in a couple of years and wow what a performance. She didn't even get nominated. Jodie Foster won for Silence of the Lambs and she did a great job. Then Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon for Thelma and Louise. The Bette Midler in For the Boys and Laura Dern for Rambling Rose. I can see an argument for Jodie Foster winning but how in the hell could Bette Midler and Laura Dern get in there and not even a nomination for Linda Hamilton?

Also T2 wasn't a nominee for Best Picture but "Bugsy" was nominated for all kind of things. How does crap like that happen? Too many old timers who just don't care for Sci-Fi I guess.

I agree with you. She could have been nominated at least (and won) for Best Actress in a supporting role.

..don't forget in the 80's and early 90's, it was unheard of for sci-fi movies, action, and comedies like City Slickers would ever be even mentioned for a nomination at the Oscars.. but, so many great award worthy movies came from the 80's and 90's.

- city slickers has such heart and charm and shouldv'e been nominated for best picture.

- ALIENS 1986, Sigourney Weaver should've have won for Aliens in 1986.

- Al Pacino for Carlito's Way 1993 shouldv'e been nominated or won.

..Oscars are so politccaly biased now, sadly. they n ever give it to the movies, or actors that deserve it
