Mel confirmed for Daddy's Home 2

I recently watched Daddy's Home for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The film isn't just a comedy. It's also a family drama, which helps to explain its BO success.

The sequel's premise of adding grandparents to the mix over Christmas is a good one. I wonder if Mel and John Lithgow will be playing with type, or against type?

I love Will Ferrel but Daddy's Home is one of his weakest movies imo. I'm surprised it's getting a sequel. I'd much rather see a sequel to Step Brothers or Old School. Anyway it will be interesting to see who and what kind of character Mel ends up playing.

I thought it was funny, definitely better than I thought it would be. John Lithgow and Mel will be awesome no doubt. I am really looking forward to Dragged Across Concrete, The Professor and the Madman (there is a clip I posted on its board page) and Every Other Weekend. I heard Mel and Kirk Russell were doing another film together, ugh, can't recall the name now.

SO many things to look forward to : )

Out of those I'm mostly looking forward to Dragged Across Concrete. Even the name sounds so badass :) Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn make sort of weird, yet exciting combination. And S. Craig Zahler seems to make pretty hardcore movies.

I wonder if the Passion sequel is still in the works?

I think it is still in the works. Yeah, that name does sound badass : )

Why does this jerk keep getting roles? There are so many more worthy actors who need work.
