On his recent career

What a talent. I don't understand why he's the target and yet many stars so far worse. Affairs, drugs, hookers, and just plain bad morality.

In music we give most a pass and continue to listen to their albums. Even going so far to praise the hate on women and thug life promotion.

However this guy is doing scripts that Nicholas Cage passed on. (Did you hear that? Cage passed on?)

The reason I'm posting is I just watched Blood Father and while it's no Payback it is a shining example that Mel should be in the same vein as Willis (party monster from the 80s), Thorton (need I input anything) and others who seem to have a liberal get out of jail free card.

Mel your still a solid actor. Wish you woulda just kept making babies in your free time.

IMO, his history is not what it seems. I believe it came down to the money he made personally from The Passion of the Christ - he basically reaped most of what he sowed since he put his money on the line to the tune of something along the lines of $600 million - and really had little to do with his purported anti-Semitic views - if such an image is to be believed since the same corporations that control the entertainment industry pretty much control the media too - that he may have unleashed in a drunken tirade. This incident was just used to sully him in the media and blacklist him in the industry. It always comes down to money. Always. It's just the times we live in - one of absolute materialism. I mean look at people like Woody Allen, Polanski, Charlie Sheen, etc., getting all sorts of passes for their ridiculous behavior. This isn't even considering going into the alleged issues of under the table sexual exploitation. The executives who run Hollywood - outside of the cartel that is banking industry - form the next biggest, most self-centered f!cking clique in the world, where there are certain expectations as to who makes what. It is what it is.

Two of the three you mentioned have done criminal acts, but they rally behind them.

The media can't write an article about Mel without rehashing his whole life, oh, and only the bad moments. Why don't they focus on the charities and good stuff he's done? It far outweighs anything. It's because of hate, pretty ironic since that's all they focus on when it comes to what they believe Mel is like. The irony.
