Not sure your point, dude. It sounds like you're butthurt that Mel has an opinion regarding violence in certain contexts in the movies. Heck, I agree...that's potentially pretty hypocritical, given some of the gratuitous films Mel has agreed to appear in. However, he has a right to express a view on this. Given his pedigree in acting, producing and directing....he has more than earned that right.
For you to suggest he can say whatever he wants and not feel the consequences? Well, that's beyond ridiculous. Mel has paid a penance for over a decade, and will never fully recover....based on people judging and blacklisting him for things he has said.
And who ever called him a saint, exactly?? He would be the first to tell you he's far from it. But he has admitted his sins, and he has asked for forgiveness. There is virtue in that. That is the cornerstone of virtually all doctrines of faith. The UNWILLINGNESS to forgive.....is the cornerstone of evil....hate...darkness.
