He's no Roman Polanski. He may be a rapist but at least we can respect him. What did Mel do?? He said some ugly things in a drunken rant and supposedly abused his ex-girlfriend - which he took full responsibility for. BUT Roman Polanski.... Has anyone seen any legitimate critics talk about banning Polanski films? They sure as hell love trashing Gibson films.

Luke that is a big "MAY BE". Polanski had sex with a tramp who had been illegally with older men before and also after Polanski. She told lies about her age, her rape story doesn't hold up and her mother—who did know her daughters real age—let her get with these older men and didn't do anything about it, in regards to Polanski she did. They were schemers and wanted something from him.

Polanski took responsibility for his sexual offense of having sex with a minor, in which he wasn't aware of her true age, and Gibson took responsibility for his drunken rant. Geimer, Gailey and the California justice system don't appear to have taken responsibility for the part they played. As for Gibson, it is just the lynch mob mentality who want to string others up to avoid looking at their own limitations, bigotry and insecurities and believe everything from a biased slant from what the media feeds them, and are also operating from their own prejudices.
