What is Mel Gibson to you ?

TBH, I think he is a lot like his characters: Mad Max or Martin Riggs. He reminds me of an abused stray dog, that is wild and feral but also sad and vulnerable. He has that combination of qualities that make you feel for him, maybe it's his big puppy sad scared eyes and his jumpy nervous actions/ticks that makes him come across as this vulnerable wildling/sad feral kid - there's that quality in him. And you can see it in many of his characters and also in the films he is drawn to or films he directs.

And those are the qualities I like in him actually. I can't think of any other actor who has that charisma or dichotomy in his characteristics.

You know when you approach an abused animal, how it's scary to approach them because they might bite you out of instinct and fear? But at the same time, you can't help but to try to reach out because you see the sadness in their gait and the tremendous fear in their eyes. That's how I see Mel Gibson.
